Find the things that start with the same sound that starts "Yawning". (yawn, mailbox, yoyo, yell, umbrella, yard.)

Have your child make up a story with as many words as possible that begin with the letter "Y". Suggestions: "Yawning For Fun", "The Missing Yodel", "Yellow Yogurt And Yummy Yams".

Have a discussion about yawning. Explain the value of yawning and why people might yawn. See if your child can make him/herself yawn at will.
